Admiral Gorshkov conducts air defense exercise in Norwegian Sea

Personnel have practiced to repel mock enemy's airpower strikes in the Norwegian Sea amid difficult hydrometeorological environment.

🕹 The exercise involved tactical situation modelling facilities to simulate the neutralization of air targets by on-board air defense weaponry and firepower.

◽️ The crew of air defense command post has practiced maneuvering the ship. The personnel of detection posts, electronic and anti-aircraft crews have practiced transmitting and receiving target assignment data, and conditional employment of the on-board self-defense weapons.

🌊 The scale in the Norwegian Sea was 3-4, the wind speed reached 20 metres per second during the exercise.

The navigation of the detachment, formed by the frigate Admiral Gorshkov and medium-class sea tanker Kama, is guided by the North Fleet's missile ship division commander Captain 1st Rank Oleg Gladkiy.
