The Caribbean for Christmas, Part 1 | Ep. 194

Putting to sea at last! After more than a month of making preparations, poring over weather files, fretting and pacing, the anchor is up and the little ship is making her way out of the Chesapeake Bay. Brisk northerlies greet us outside, becoming moderate NE as we enter the Gulf Stream the following day. Light airs and headwinds nearly stall progress for a day while the swift current sets us off to the northeast. I am apprehensive lest we fail to exit the stream before a fast approaching cold front hits.
