Sara's outlook on life begins to change to reflect her new role in life and at the boarding school. Her old friends are there to comfort her as they feel Sara would do for them, but will Sara learn to endure the hardship befallen upon her?

This channel has all six parts of the 'A Little Princess' (1986-1987), a British-American mini-series (based upon the 1905 novel 'A Little Princess' by Frances Hodgson Burnett), directed by Carol Wiseman, and starring Amelia Shankley as Sara Crewe and Maureen Lipman as Miss Minchin.
The parts have been edited to include extra material that had originally been removed for the purpose of fitting in the time slot when it aired on cable television.
