In Cusco, Peruvians on indefinite strike for the departure of Dina Boluarte.
Airport closed and train to Machu Picchu suspended.

An indefinite strike has been declared. For a month, the same demands: resignation of President Dina Boluarte, dissolution of the congress and immediate elections.

Since the start of the crisis, clashes between demonstrators and the police have left at least 42 dead, including a police officer who was burned alive by the crowd, according to the Defender of the People.

The protests also injured at least 531 people, including 176 police officers, and 329 people were arrested, according to the prosecution.

Airports closed and the train to Machu Picchu suspended. The protests against the Peruvian government that took over the south of the country do not subside and even reached Lima.
