Scorpion EXO Optima Jacket Short - Not perfect, but maybe the best option available

The Scorpion EXO Optima fits a niche that seems underserved, but maybe for good reason. It's a cool weather (but not COLD by northern standards) jacket that's waterproof and has armor and decent slide protection. But, it's not meant for adventure riding.

The main complaint I've heard is that it bites inside the elbows if you bend your arms much, and that's true in mine no matter how I set it up. But, only if I bend way more than I would while riding. In exchange I get a comfy cool weather riding jacket that can handle the rain and offers decent protection. The armor isn't high end, but isn't bad. I will get into that more in the full review.

Gear:
Jackets - REV'IT! Eclipse or Scorpion Exo Optima depending on weather.
Helmets - Icon Airform Lycan or Scorpion Exo T510 in high vis.
Gloves - AlpineStars SMX-1 Air V2 or REV'IT! Cassini H2O
Boots - AlpineStars SMX, Either the S boots or 1-R vented low boots
If you have any suggestions for a comfy and practical waterproof option that's affordable, lemme know. I plan to commute on this so I need waterproof footwear at some point.
Pants - Riding jeans from a few companies. REV'IT! Acid 3 H2O overpants for the wet.
Camera - Insta360 X3 and I will be adding a GoPro and audio once I sort it out.
