Inspired by Plato's "ideas", Descartes will also elaborate principles on human thoughts, and will say that God is the One who "gave a push to the world to make it go", and then left the control of everything to man. Another fact for which Descartes is known is his phrase Cogito ergo sum, which represents the path (never completed) of man regarding the search for the method to understand, step by step, all that surrounds him, using the ingenuity. Through doubt and skepticism, Descartes is aware that he has only one certainty: that of thinking. Therefore, the moment he thinks, it means that he is doing something, and hence the irrefutable certainty regarding his existence. At the end of 1640, Descartes was invited to Stockholm by Queen Christina of Sweden to deepen his philosophical research. However, the incredibly cold and rigid climatic conditions, combined with the cold and tight habits of the Swedes, upset the health of Descartes, who died by now fifty in 1650.
