Today, we are installing a Wiseway GW 1949 Off Grid Pellet Stove in our basement! This DIY Pellet Stove Chimney Build was completed with a Harbor Freight Flux 125!

Now that we've got that squared away-

With the rising costs of fuel oil, and the need to be eco-friendly growing by the day, we decided to purchase this pellet stove for our homestead, and were met with a list of challenges! The previous homeowner had a coal stove before installing a fuel oil furnace, and it caught on fire! When it did, they crammed the existing chimney with bricks and debris when they installed the fuel oil system.

One estimate for the repair of this chimney was in excess of $2,500! So I decided to build my own!

Follow along as I build the new chimney, and install it here in our basement! It will run for hours, and because it is gravity fed, it is 100% off grid! I'll be discussing the modifications that solve all of the issues that people have with this pellet stove, and really optimize the system to make the most of it! I'll be turning it into an off grid powerhouse just in time for winter!
