Ham Radio- 6 meter J-Pole Build & SWR issues

I decided to build a 6 meter antenna because I want to try using a repeater in Massachusetts that's roughly 270 miles away and is kind of a water shot across the Gulf of Maine. I'm told the repeater has a high elevation, so why not give it a try? There are other repeaters I want to try out too.
