IMPORTANT ULEZ UPDATE - How you can help - But time is limited!

The Mayor of London is currently setting his budget for 2023-24.

This budget will allocate the funds to pay for the proposed ULEZ expansion, and the public are invited to comment on this budget.

I wish to register my opposition to the proposed ULEZ expansion

To whom it may concern,

The proposal to expand the ULEZ from it's current border is stated to cost TFL between £160m and £200m. This scheme has already been vehemently opposed by many factions of our society.

A public consultation found that 80% of human beings questioned were opposed to the expansion, with Hillingdon, Harrow, Bexley and Croydon councils all announcing their opposition to the widening of the zone as reported by the BBC in November 2022, saying:"There are better ways of improving our air quality and the mayor of London should be doing all he can to boost London's recovery rather than implementing this money grab from those that can least afford it."

The ULEZ expansion will put further strain on people who are already suffering, and the scrappage scheme that is proposed to go along with it will generate more CO2 than it proposes to save.£160m is a lot of money and there are far better ways to spend it. If the Mayor of London would like people to use their cars less, than public infrastructure should be improved - the first solution should never be expensive new camera infrastructure and restrictive legislation.

I wish to register this as a formal complaint against the proposal and hope that my voice will be listened to
