Crypto Gearing Up: AWS +AVAX, Instagram NFT's and SingularityNET Boom

Instagram, one of the largest social media platforms in the world with around 2 billion monthly active users, has begun testing out Non-Fungible Token (NFT) sharing. Early last year, Meta Platforms, Instagram's parent company, allowed select users to connect their digital wallets and showcase NFTs they created or bought on the platform. This has created opportunities for NFT creators and collectors to present their digital assets to a wider audience. With Instagram's planned support, NFTs could finally reach mainstream adoption because of its expansive reach. Instagram has been slowly expanding its Digital Collectibles feature, allowing digital artists to mint and sell NFTs directly on the platform. Instagram's large global audience and in-app purchases being made in fiat currency, makes it an accessible on-ramp for Web3 newcomers. However, there are challenges to be faced such as high fees from Apple and Google, and the appeal to a Web3-native audience. Despite this, early NFT sales on Instagram have been successful with collections selling out quickly. Instagram has recruited well-known NFT artists to promote the new feature, enticing NFT collectors and helping bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 users.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is partnering with Ava Labs to bring wider adoption of blockchain technology to enterprises, institutions, and governments. AWS, a cloud-computing platform, will support Ava Labs' Avalanche blockchain infrastructure and decentralized applications (dApps), making it easier for developers to launch and manage nodes on the Avalanche blockchain. Ava Labs also plans to add "subnet" deployment to the AWS Marketplace, enabling easy launch of custom subnets for both individuals and institutions.
This partnership is the first of its kind for AWS with a blockchain project. However, AWS already powers networks for other blockchains like Ethereum and others. This partnership aims to make blockchain technology more accessible and easy to use for enterprises, institutions and governments, thus driving innovation and encouraging the mainstream adoption of blockchain. It is also expected that AVAX, Avalanche's native token, will see an impact in its value

Blockchain AI project SingularityNET's AGIX utility token surged 18% in the past 24 hours and 80% over the past seven days, according to data from CoinMarketCap. The news surrounding the AI tool ChatGPT and the recent announcement of Microsoft's plan to invest $10 billion in OpenAI, the startup behind the popular AI tool ChatGPT, is inspiring an upsurge in AI-focused tokens in the crypto market.
The token’s trading volume has surged 529% in the past 24 hours, CoinMarketCap’s data shows, and the token was launched in 2018 and rebranded in 2021, it works across multiple blockchains such as Cardano and Ethereum. Other AI and big data-related tokens have also seen growth, like The Graph's native token GRT which rose 15% over the past seven days, and AI platform Fetch.ai's native token FET which surged over 60% over the same period. This trend showcase the growing interest and adoption of AI-based technology and its increasing value in the cryptocurrency market.
