Chicago Bears Now: DeAndre Hopkins trade rumors are heating up after reports of the Arizona Cardinals shopping their all-pro WR have surfaced. Hopkins has 2 years and just over $34 million on his contract and former ESPN NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, who’s now with The Score, reports that he’d likely want a new deal if traded. The Bears have a major need at WR and the cap space to absorb Hopkins deal and sign him to a new contract during the 2023 NFL Offseason. On today’s show, Bears Now host Harrison Graham covers the latest Chicago Bears trade rumors.

Bears Trade Rumors also focus on the #1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Indianapolis Colts have been linked to trading up for the top pick as Colts’ GM Chris Ballard said he’d “do whatever it takes” to move up in the NFL Draft for a QB if they found the right guy. The Colts have the #4 pick which could be the sweet spot for Chicago to trade down as they could still land either Alabama EDGE Will Anderson Jr. and Georgia DT Jalen Carter at that spot. NFL Insider Albert Breer told Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show that he spoke with Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and he revealed that Eberflus and Bears GM Ryan Poles really like Justin Fields. He said while the Bears will evaluate NFL Draft QB Prospects like Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Will Levis, he thinks it’s way more likely that they trade down from the #1 pick and build around Fields. Breer also mentioned that if Fields doesn’t take the next step in 2023 with more pieces around him, the Bears could then draft USC QB Caleb Williams or North Carolina QB Drake Maye in the 2024 NFL Draft.
