I started riding when I was 17 after buying a neighbors enduro style bike (street legal dirt bike). Soon after I traded that bike for a bigger street bike that I took a NASTY spill on in 1983. I didn't ride again for 15 years. That is until my brother showed up in 1998 on his "new to him" Suzuki Intruder 1400.

He let me ride it around the block a couple of times....three times....four times....finally on the fifth time he had to stop me to get his bike back. That was a Thursday afternoon. The following Saturday morning I was at the Kawi dealership to buy the 1997 Vulcan 1500. I was HOOKED again. I customized that bike, tearing it completely down to the frame and rebuilding it from the ground up.

After that I decided it was time for a Harley. Enter the 2000 Road King. I'd busted so many knuckles on the Kawi that I kept the RK pretty much stock, save a few simple bolt-on's (Harley aftermarket parts are plentiful and easy to install). I sold that bike in 2003 and decided to set riding aside for a bit.

In 2005 I wanted to get back in the saddle, but figured I'd make sure before jumping back into the Harley ring. Enter the 2005 Kawi Vulcan 2000. That bike was an absolute BEAST! The fastest cruiser I'd ever ridden. It didn't take long for me to decide I was hooked again.

In 2007 I decided to get another Harley. The Pewter Denim Street Glide was just the ticket. I paid the shop to install a Stage 3 kit (tuner, pipes, intake, bored cylinder heads, bigger pistons....the works). That thing ran like a raped ape!

Come 2009 and Harley redesigned the FLH line to fix a couple of things I'd had issues with for a while. Mainly frame flex and the skinny ass tire on my 2007. I sold the Street Glide and bought a 2009 Road Glide Custom (FLTRX). Again, I left this bike mostly stock, save tuner/intake, seat, lowers, and bag guards. That was the best HANDLING bike I'd ever ridden up to that point, and still today. I rode that bike for a couple of years until most of my friends stopped riding. I sold in in 2011 in order to buy a 392 SRT Challenger, but that's a different story all together. =)

Come 2013 and the riding bug was gnawing at me again. On a whim I visited the dealership and ended up riding out with a new Street Glide Special (FLHXS). Much like the 2007, I loaded this bike up with a sh!t-ton of aftermarket bolt-on's. That was the most gorgeous bike I'd ever owned. Alas, by 2018 I'd grown weary of riding alone again and decided to sell.

In 2020 we moved to Montana where riding is a tad more risky. Luckily we moved back to Texas in 2021, but I waited a bit before jumping back into riding.

In 2023 it hit me again. The urge to ride. My brother still had his bike (though it was in the shop getting repaired after a mishap), and another friend was back to riding with smaller groups (after leaving his club). I decided to look at Indian this time and was completely flabbergasted that a 2023 Scout Bobber, and 1100 CC "mini-bike", set up the way I wanted was over $22k!!! That's when I decided to look at preowned bikes for the first time since my teens.

I found a 2014 Harley Fatboy Lo (FLSTFB) at a local dealership with less than 5k miles and for a price I couldn't believe. Needless to say I made it mine. Now the customization begins, so I'll post updates here and there as time permits and as new bolt-on's get added to the bike.
