Oak Hill Church of Christ 8-21-22 Message: "The Setup"

Oak Hill Church of Christ member, Alvin Dillard delivers a message on the hope we have in knowing that God has prepared a Way for us, even before the foundations of the world were laid.

It is easy to lose direction and even hope for those who are not grounded in the knowledge that God has created a plan and direction for all things. We may allow ourselves to believe that setbacks, struggles, and loss represent God's abandonment of us and our earthly existence.

Jesus shows to us that God intends exactly the opposite. There are times in our lives when things do not go the way wen desire or our plans fail, and it is often those times in which God is making Himself most available. For those who rejected God when they thought they could gain everything they wanted on their own, a change in perspective may be warranted.

Jesus also shows us that our repentance is valuable, when we return to God and dedicate ourselves to Him, He makes Himself known in our lives. All of these things God had put into place even before the beginning of the world, and Jesus will see the believer through to the end, just as he promised.
