God shows many times in the Bible that He can take someone, even someone who has a poor or unremarkable past and turn them into something wonderful.

Moses is one character that God sees through quite a few transformations. He goes from slave to prince to wilderness-dwelling shepherd to God's deliverer of the Hebrew people.

Christians should remember that we are not only of one nature, inflexible and rigid. The God-fearing man or woman who hears the message of God and responds to it can be changed. As that change is taking place, that same believer ought not to look too harshly upon their own past. Instead, look to the future and notice God's progress within you for the better.
