Antonio Montella - Message Mob Boss Arrested

Antonio Montella

Antonio Montella is an Italian mob boss involved with the drug trafficking underworld. In 2015, it was learned that his underworld had a strange and unusual tie to William Branham’s “Message” cult. When Italian authorities were closing in on Montella, he went into hiding in Naples. Police arrested him after Montella was found attending services on the weekends.

Montella was part of a mafia drug ring bust involving over thirty mobsters in Italy. In 2015, Roman police seized more than 600 kilograms of cocaine and hashis, making dozens of arrests of the infamous ’Ndrangheta clan. They had already seized 1500 kilograms in other raids, as well as an arsenal of weapons. The gang had arranged a hit on a rival mob boss in 2013 and were working towards a complete monopoly on the drug underworld in Italy.

Authorities learned of Montella’s location after a video was posted on YouTube. Montella was taken to a location on the Italian coast at the border between Naples and Caserta, and baptized into the William Branham’s “Message” cult of personality. From the video, police were able to determine the location and ask locals if they could identify the fugitive mob boss. They tracked him to the “Message” cult commune in Villaricca near Naples. Montella was taken back to Rome, where he was imprisoned for drug trafficking.

Interestingly, only a few years prior in 1997, Voice of God Recordings, "Message" cult headquarters, was the defendant in a racketeering lawsuit. Just two years prior to Montella's arrest Voice of God Recordings moved a hundred million dollars in assets into Jehovah Jireh Foundation, a second organization established for the sole purpose of moving money.

It is also interesting to note that according to William Branham, Pat Tyler, who attended many of William Branham’s revivals, was a “converted gangster” and professional gunman. Tyler was a close associate of Joseph Coleman, whose church was exposed after having setup a ponsi scheme in 2010.
