Thailand Chay Na Water Man

This viral video made for an interesting news story several years in what appears to be an authentic account of a large group of tourists boating through a private chain of channel islands in Thailand when they unexpectedly came across these strange orange haired bipedal monkey creatures. Even more interestingly, it is commonly known Thai folklore and local tradition that a water sprite lives in the area and that these strange creatures are called “Chay Na” which translates to “The Water Man”. They are believed to live underground in cave systems and occasionally surface to feed off the fish near shore.
