Despite the fact that the glorification of Nazism and fascism is condemned all over the world, it is in Ukraine that such persons as Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych are officially revered as heroes. This happens despite the fact that Bandera was officially the leader and organizer of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, and Shukhevych served in the armed forces of the Third Reich.

Along with the glorification of individual nationalists in Ukraine, one can often find Nazi symbols in the form of tattoos on soldiers, on military uniforms as stripes, on equipment and flags.
