Gene and Mary Anne Bell join Gallo to share the story of his brother's murder, and his murderer now being allowed to receive parole and to walk away free.

"In May 6, 1991, my brother, Bert Bell, was brutally murdered, shot 9 times in Grenada county, by offender Frederick Bell (no relation to my family), and in 1993 Frederick Bell was convicted by a jury in Grenada county of capitol punishment and his sentence was death. Then appeal after appeal from his council lead him to avoiding the death penalty in 2013 from being able to plead mentally unable to cope with society. In 2015 we began to, me and my family began to fight parole for each year anywhere from a two to three-year offset and then he was resentenced to life..."

July 11, 2022 Bell says that they had a good parole board hearing, stating that they had no intention of paroling Frederick Bell, and that the next offset would be a 3 to 5-year offset.

But on August 29, they received a gut-wrenching letter from the parole board that stated they will be granting Frederick Bell parole.
