It is fascinating how this is you know sort of deadlocked. And I think you're right. I don't think that they care. and I think that they have separate power bases now. What's also fascinating is that there really is no ideological fight here as far as I can tell. I mean none but you know I think they want they want you to know the choice of committee seats. They want but here is like there was a piece today in Politico outlying two sorts of dynamics that are going on. One is that they're starting to get to the point where there are material implications to not resolving this for Republican lawmakers. So in other words Texas Republican Roger Williams and his wife suffered some type of medical emergency. She went this week. She underwent treatment and he wants to be with her but he can't. He has to stay in Washington. Ken Buck was sick and they were trying to convince him that it was okay to duck out to get rest. Wesley Hunt, a Republican from Texas, his wife gave birth this week. He wants to see his kid. Kevin Hearn's mother died this week and he wants to attend a funeral. like things are starting to come up. you know these are these people. And they need to be around because what happens if they leave we worked this out the other day I think we got to the number nine essentially. If nine more people vote present or leave because they've got to get home Hakeem Jeffries becomes speaker. Because he will have the majority of the people who are voting. It's also not inconceivable that if two or three people have to leave four people, Republicans some of the 20 might just say like I can end this you know by just voting present yeah how are people going to accuse me of voting present I didn't vote for Hakeem Jeffries.
