Our Pet Dogs of Yesteryear (In Loving Memory) 🐾 - A Poem Read by Ann Massey

In a world of its own, called the Bluebell Woods, where the sun lights the way,
Where people talk, couples walk, and animals live each day,
There's a precarious honor, a tree loved and wise,
a story to be told
A tribute is carved, weathered and old, to be enjoyed by human eyes.
Six canine companions are memorialized, their names carved in the bark,
So no matter the decades...the passage of time, they have eternally made their mark.
Who etched the names reading, Max, Henry, Scott, Jack, Barney and Marley what is their tale?
Ask around and you might find, their legend beyond the pale.
But though the story lost to time, for a while their names will endure,
Carved in honor their tails still wagging, their hearts loyal and pure,
Time will pass, ages will come and go and how long will this idol stand?
Nature is captive to a fickle fate and the future holds its own plan.
If this tree should fall in tribulation or time, making way for something new,
Just remember the lives you touched, my hopes are always with you...
