The Startling State Of Debate: No Compromise, No Surrender

Conversations today are dangerous. There's no agreeing to disagree, there's no challenging of ideas. It's verbal warfare. We're not entering the conversation to debate, testing whether our idea carries weight or if there's a better one out there. We enter the conversation under the fundamental belief that our idea is right. Your idea, therefore, must be wrong. And thus I must make it my job to beat my idea into you.
