Injured seal gets the unfortunate attention of a ruthless group of beach gulls.

Given that the gulls do not possess the ability to cut through skin, like for example a bald eagle would be able to, they take whatever comes across their path. This includes seals, especially with a wound that big.

Death by 1000 cuts is a fitting name for a video like this.

If an opportunity walked through your doors and promised to take you from rags to riches, you would take it. So naturally, with that analogy in mind, the gulls did exactly that when an opportunity like this strolled through the beach while they were present.

How the seal ended up with this wound to begin with is unclear, but given that they are the prey item for animals such as the shark and the orca, one can imagine how the wound came to be.
