ITS OFFICIAL! Matt Gaetz Nominates President Trump for Speaker of the House

The 11th voting for Speaker of the House of Representatives in the United States is already underway. Rep. Matt Gaetz advocated for President Trump to be elected as Speaker of the House.

To begin, President Trump meets the requirements to be a candidate for the office of speaker.

The House of Representatives has the ability to choose anybody it wants to serve as speaker, even if that person isn't a member of Congress...

Despite the fact that the Constitution does not specify membership in the House of Representatives as a prerequisite for the position of Speaker of the House, this position has historically been held by a member of the House of Representatives. Instead, the Constitution states that lawmakers "shall choose their Speaker and other Officers."
