Also, the head of the Luhansk region, Gaidai, said that when the ground freezes, it will be easier for heavy equipment to go on the offensive. "The truth is both ours and the enemy's," he added. At the same time, Gaidai reports that the Russians in the Lyman sector are transferring additional personnel and equipment to Kreminna.

In the Donetsk direction, the Russian army does not stop offensive operations. The General Staff of Ukraine reports a number of repulsed attacks by Russians over the past day. On the Bakhmut site in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka, Soledar, Krasna Gora, Vyimka, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka and Mayorsk. Meanwhile, telegram channels publish news about the alleged advance of Russian troops in Soledar. Advances from the north and south are announced, as well as small advances within the city. Commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine Syrsky said that in the first days of the new year in the Donbas, the intensity of hostilities increased. According to Syrsky, even having an advantage in forces and means, the Russian troops were unable to complete the task set by the command, to capture Soledar and surround Bakhmut before December 26.

At the Avdiivka site, Russian attacks were repulsed in the areas of Sjeverne, Vodyane, Krasnohorivka and Vesele. On the Novopavlivsk site, attacks were repulsed in the area of the settlement Pobeda. Fierce fighting also continues in the center of Mar'inka. Telegram channels publish videos of the shelling of the city with incendiary ammunition. Meanwhile, Belarus is increasing the grouping of troops jointly with Russia. "As part of ensuring the military security of the Union State, the build-up of the regional grouping of troops of Belarus and Russia continues," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement. It is also reported that "personnel, weapons, military and special equipment of the armed forces of the Russian Federation will continue to arrive in Belarus." There are trains with equipment, medical and recovery vehicles. At the same time, it is said that the delivery is planned and is carried out in accordance with the rearmament plan. Also in Belarus, they announced flight exercises of the forces that are part of the joint contingent. Earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine stated that Russia had deployed nuclear weapons in Belarus and intended to use this territory for provocations. This was announced by the representative of the press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine Yusov. According to him, Belarus and Crimea are considered by Putin as territories for organizing provocations.
