On 12/8/22 Atlanta Police learned of an entering auto in the parking lot of 3120 Maple Dr. NW, where a vehicle was broken into.

Investigators responded to the scene and were able to view surveillance footage showing several suspects as well as a vehicle occupied by the suspects. A lookout was provided to officers in the surrounding zones and while proactively using Connect Atlanta technology, Zone 1 Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle traveling along Bolton Rd.

Prior to officers attempting a traffic stop, the driver of the suspect vehicle was involved in a single-car accident near English Park, rendering the vehicle undrivable. At that time, two male and two female occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief pursuit, all four subjects were detained without incident. During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the vehicle occupied by the suspects was stolen earlier in the night from 1000 Northside Dr. NW.

The suspects were charged accordingly, with both males (19YOA) eventually transported to Fulton County Jail and both juvenile females released to their parents, who also received citations for curfew violations. The Atlanta Police Department is proud of the efforts of the officers and investigators involved in the arrest of the suspects. Their proactive work after receiving a lookout for the suspects shows the effectiveness of the Connect Atlanta system.
