I Ran Into A Railroad Employee At A Broken Signal, Thought We Had A Good Discussion! | Jason Asselin

Wednesday evening my wife told me a train went north, but when I got home I saw many cars sitting on the main near Alter Metal. So Thursday morning I got the car early and went to see what was sitting on the main, a short time later ELS 501 came from the north to grab this freight train with logs hanging off in a few places. I thought maybe they needed to make the load safe, but it must've been something else. Either way I gave chase north to find some interesting things...
I bumped into a signal maintenance that works for the railroad and he explained a little about how engineers know when signals are broken, it may answer many questions people have about the issue. He even told me he watches my video, so how cool is that!
At the very last crossing I was quite surprised to see that Dickinson County Sheriff deputy in his squad car sitting on the other side, and yes it was that very same deputy who came to my house on June 1.
A weird coincidence? You tell me... LMAO
