I"m grateful for the opportunity to share this case with you. We saw the patient @ 24hrs post treatment and the swelling had gone done (and pain was 0/10). At 72hrs post treatment, patient's swelling had decreased significantly in size and finally @ 7 days, the patient reports swelling almost gone. I didn't mention it in the video b/c it is controversial, however, the patient was provided with 7 days x 500mg Amoxicillin (TID). We are trained that antibiotics are not indicated unless there systemic indications of an infection, however, it is fairly common that we provide abx in these situations. The article talks about abx as well. What are your thoughts?
