Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad ELS 502 & ELS 501 disconnected from the southbound train and proceeded down the rails to Alter Metal to remove the full cars and take them south with them.. Only to come off the spur with no freight, then the conductor rode on the front looking down and inspecting the rails as they passed. The crossing on my street was interesting, it appeared as if the wheels weren't staying on the track across the road, but the grooves kept it on..
