A Saviour from what? Jesus is trouble! - Tony Pearce

If someone has done you harm and you tell them they've done harm, and they then say, “Well, I don't care about that. It's in the past; it has nothing to do with me now.” You cannot be reconciled to them. If, on the other hand, they then say, “Yes, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that to you”, and you forgive them, then you can be reconciled.

You sometimes hear people in cases of terrorism saying, “I forgive the person who's done the atrocity.” That's true, you should forgive them, you shouldn't seek revenge on them. However, you can't be reconciled to them until they repent and put it right and are therefore reconciled to you.

That also applies to us in our relationship with God. We can't be reconciled to God until we say we're sorry for our sins and are reconciled to Him through the blood of Jesus.
