DIVINE JUSTICE: Two Men Charged Over Bizarre Theft From Nativity Scene

Cops in Texas have arrested two men for stealing a baby Jesus figure from a nativity scene.

Juan Meave, 39, and 33-year-old Martin Worden were seized following the theft from the manger scene in Sundance Square, Forth Worth, on 17th December.

Worden was caught after police called on members of the public to identify him from this CCTV footage showing the brazen theft.

Police announced on 21st December that the baby Jesus figure had been returned. At that point, no arrests had been made.

Forth Worth Police wrote on social media: "Not a very WISE MAN to steal from the nativity scene in Sundance Square.

"On 12/17 around 2am, this suspect stole baby Jesus and was seen jumping in a tan or silver Chevy Tahoe, so he probably wasn't alone in this.

"If you recognize him, please call 817-392-3956. Report# 2200325146."

They then wrote: "We are being advised the suspect vehicle looks more like a Pathfinder. Thanks for the input!"

And they finally posted: "The suspects involved have been identified and the stolen property has been returned to the rightful owner.

"Thank you to everyone for your assistance."

It is not clear what role Meave played in the theft, but both men are charged with theft of property between USD 100 (GBP 83) and USD 750 (GBP 620).

The motive for the bizarre crime remains unclear.
