Bloooommzzz glorious Bloooommmzzzz.... NOT when an orchid is having difficulty based on whatever factor is stressing the orchid out. Cutting spikes is not something we want to do, seeing as we are growing our orchids so as to appreciate the fruits of our labor, those being blooms! BUT, going in too soon, cutting the spike off of a stressed orchid prematurely, will do the orchid no good, because, in it's fight for survival, it will attempt to throw out another spike, seeing as that is the only way it can secure the continuation of it's kind. The timing of cutting a spike on an orchid, has to be effective, or else we are not going to our stressed orchid any favors. #cutting #spikes #orchids #orchidcare #stress #orquideas #orchideen #orchideenpflege #beginners #care
