Chattanooga police officers removed from enforcement duties. Ten Chattanooga Police Department officers have been reassigned and will not be allowed to testify in court because they have been untruthful or misrepresented information in the past.
The Fraternal Order of Police said in a news release the reassignment of the officers was unjust, and the officers were asked to attend a meeting under false pretenses.

"Six members of the Fraternal Order of Police were informed that they are being reassigned to a nonenforcement capacity by Chief Celeste Murphy," the release said. "This was done with no prior notice and no opportunity for these members to be heard. These officers who were relieved of duty were given deceptive reasons for the meeting and given 17-hours notice."
