Thieves Own Nothing | Patriarchs

The morality of theft is not dependent on external punishment, either from society or divinity.

The use of force or guide towards the acquisition of property, itself invalidates the ownership of that property going forward.

Stolen property is no longer in possession, it is just waiting to be taken by a greater force or a more cunning guile until legitimate provenance is reestablished.

As soon as a person abandons cooperative, voluntary exchange of property he or she abandons that provenance over the property itself.

The temporary possession of the stolen property then becomes a burden, the knowledge of which must either be hidden or obfuscated for the duration of the illegitimate possession.

There is no longer any pleasure to be gained from the possession of that property and the burden of effective camouflage of the illegitimate property becomes greater and greater over time.

It's a relief when stolen property is revealed and it is reacquired by individuals or systems that acknowledge and uphold property rights.
