Using an accounting technique called "transfer prices" that likely got Bob Chapek fired, Disney has been over-exploiting a loophole allowing it to overcharge itself for Marvel shows (every Marvel show is $25 million per episode, compared to Sandman for $15 million per episode) and other content for Disney+, showing fake profits and ultimately hiding even larger than reported losses for it's streaming service. The technique of using transfer prices to shifts costs and profits around is legitimate, but only up to certain limits, and was only possible to do at this large scale using the soon to be dismantled by Bob Iger, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution division created by Bob Chapek.
