How Does Health Coverage Work In The NFL?

Jimmy Farris, who played for the New England Patriots and in a Super Bowl, joins us to talk about all things football and his current life. One of our discussions was about health benefits in the NFL. I know I know, I ask the deepest questions, but hey. It's my podcast and this is what interests me!

In 2001, I signed my first NFL contract with the San Francisco 49ers and achieved a goal I set for myself when I was 10 years old. I spent the next 7 years in the NFL, won a Super Bowl with the Patriots, and lived my dream. And then at the age of 30... it was over.

For the next several years, I struggled to find myself again. Can you relate?
I was unsure .... Who was I without football? What was I passionate about? What could I offer the world? How could I make an impact?

I realized that all of those years spent pursuing... realizing... and living the dream of playing Pro Football taught me some incredibly valuable lessons.
Lessons about what it takes to be a high performer, how to consistently be your best, how to come back from failure, and how to become the absolute best version of yourself. I want to share that information with the world and that is why I created Be A Pro.
