Are we in a pandemic or not? Well, no one seems to know the answer to that one. If we asked President Biden he’d probably say that the Spanish Flu was rough but we pulled through with our no malarkey American can-do spirit. Jokes aside, Biden is the president and it seems like either he is confused about the pandemic or just jerking our chain.
Let’s review all the confusion.
Health and Human Services was facing a deadline last week. If the state of emergency order for covid was ending, they would have to notify the states by Friday. Nothing happened. Health and Human Services has said in the past they would give states 60 days notice, so they could essentially get their ducks in a row.
What does this mean? Well, this emergency order first went into effect in January 2020, just before the world went nuts. It has been extended 11 times, renewing in 90 day increments. So, the current one is set to end on January 11. But since HHS didn’t say it was over, this means we are heading into our 12th renewal of a state of emergency, lasting until, probably, April of next year.
Here’s the problem.
Didn’t Biden mention earlier this year that the pandemic was over?
SOT : Pandemic is over
Oh yeah, but that was right before the midterms.
And here’s another little ditty. We closed down the country in the spring of 2020 - with cases about a few hundred thousand a week. Ever since then, though, cases have been higher - significantly higher. In January of 2021, cases were nearly 2 million a week - a more than five-fold increase during lockdown panic. By December of last year, they were triple that - standing at nearly 6 million. Except for a few brief weeks in July of 2021, Covid cases had been higher than during lockdown. So why did we lockdown? Why did we open up? If we locked down out of fear and rising cases, why didn’t we stay that way? It’s almost like there was a reason everyone wanted to lockdown, some sort of end goal to mess things up…
Oh, that’s right, the 2020 presidential election.
So, what’s going on here. First, we lockdown, based on no scientific evidence that that would work, all out of fear of rising Covid cases. Remember the two weeks to flatten the curve? The two weeks lasted months. And then finally, we opened, but it was kind of arbitrary - a state by state basis. And cases ever since then have been super, super high - more than when we locked down. Then we tried to started trying to vaccinate everyone in this country - by hook or crook. Then fast forward to a few months ago when Biden said that the pandemic was over. But now, we’re still in a state of emergency that we need to extend? Why? How can it be over but still an emergency order? Oh, yeah - it’s the government. It doesn’t need to make sense. It just needs to help the government meet its end goals.
So, what’s the end goal? Well, depending on the thickness of your tinfoil hat, that will vary. However, the emergency order isn’t just some declaration without action, like the government is known to do. No, this one has real consequences. It amps up the federal government’s involvement in healthcare. This order expanded Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. They both swelled by more than 25%. In fact, as of June, there were a record 89 million people enrolled in these programs. And when this “emergency” order expires, HHS has estimated that nearly 15 million people could be dropped from these programs.
The emergency order also gives more flexibility to hospitals and health-care provider operations. Vaccines, tests, and certain treatments are covered by the order. When the order expires, COVID related healthcare will switch back to private insurance and other government health plans.
So what’s the point? Regardless of whether you believe Covid was a hoax and completely made up or a serious illness, it is of little importance. It was all about control. The government never cared about your health. They lied about masks and overestimated the vaccine effectiveness. It was a boon for big pharma and vaccine makers. This was all a charade. The government will never let the Covid emergency go because they will NEVER let control of you. They got you to cover your mouth and jab your arm all because they said so.
Think about how long the war in Afghanistan lasted. The government never gives up on its end goal to control people.
Get ready, because Covid emergencies aren’t going anywhere. This week, the CDC already is recommending that 5 counties in New York wear masks, indoors, yet again.
Biden is president. Democrats control the Senate. And they’re holding onto a decent amount of the House. They stopped talking about Covid because the midterms were coming. But then again, that’s there to move for control and power - just act like they didn’t do it.
You’re being gaslit America.
2003 called and wants its grift back. Remember George W. Bush standing on the USS Abraham Lincoln with a “Mission Accomplished” sign behind him? Well, the mission was, in fact, not over. The war in Iraq lasted another 8 years. But didn’t it feel good to think it was over? If Ol’ Georgey says the mission is complete then the dumb American people don’t have to think about it. Well, Uncle Joe took a play right out of W’s book. The pandemic is over - actually, technically, it’s not. The public emergency is ongoing. The government is going to continue to act like they have for the last 11 renewal of the emergency order. In reality, on paper, this is the same order issued in early 2020. However, I think a lot of Americans would agree, a lot has changed since then.
Abortion was a sideshow. The real game is the virus. So, enjoy the holidays… it may be the last one we have for a while.
