Hollow & Round Plane Series, Part 3 - Fitting The Wedge & Blade, Shaping The Round

Fitting a raw wedge blank into the body of the new plane, then using it and the blade to help complete the final tuning of the bed and the escapement. I also shape the bottom of the round plane.
At around 14:45, after I trace the wedge template, you'll see me struggle for a while as I attempt to remove the wedge. The work you watched me do resulted in a wedge that fits so well, so tightly, that it is difficult to remove. This, my friends, will get you a plane that cuts smoothly, has no chatter in the cut and eliminates the need for tapered blades.
