Taro will allow stablecoins, NFTs, wrapped altcoins, and other assets to be issued on the Bitcoin blockchain, and then moved incredibly quickly and cheaply over the Lightning Network.

Your altcoin is just another future feature on Bitcoin.

When you are building new money, it's important to make sure that it is being built on a credibly neutral, secure, and decentralized foundation. Further functionality can be added in layers, but if the foundation is not secure, the entire project is just another leaning Tower of Babel.
