Learning Losses, 5.6% Drop in Earning Potential

Because of the pandemic, K-12 students in the U.S. could
have a 5.6% drop in their lifetime earning potential. There is overwhelming evidence that students are achieving at
significantly lower levels than would have been expected without the pandemic.
If the schools are not made better, there will be continuing economic impacts as individuals and the nation will suffer from a society with lower skills. One of America's big tasks now is improving the schools.
