Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Zomboss - Iceweed - December 2022 - January 2023

This Penny's quest focuses on the Seedium plant Iceweed and was offered between between December 28, 2022 and January 4, 2023.

Iceweed is a member of the Winter-Mint family.
Costs 150 Sun. ( -25 Sun at levels 3, 7 and 9)
Iceweed does 10 damage to zombies who walk over it. (+5 per level)
Iceweed chills zombies who walk over it - zombies have 50% less movement.
When given plant food, Iceweed creates a saw-blade which does 190 damage. (+125 per level)
This saw-blade will push zombies to the back of the lawn.
After the saw-blade, Iceweed will be empowered. Empowered Iceweed does 2x damage to zombies.

Commentary:
It appears someone in development got a little too much eggnog and decided to take Spikeweed and Spikerock and make a Winter-Mint version of them.

Bottom Line:
This is Spikeweed in normal mode and Spikreock in empowered mode - both with a chill effect - all for only an extra 25 Sun. There is a lot to like here. A plant that has few zombie enemies. A plant which can extinguish zombie flames. A plant which screams to be planted on the right side of the lawn. There are not a lot of plants which prefer the right side of the lawn.

This plant also has a natural symmetry with the Nuts: Wall-Nut, Endurian, or any high health plant. Iceweed's chill effect means more damage to the zombies. Two (2) columns of Iceweed does the same damage as three (3) columns of Spikeweed. Not a lot of zombies can take that walk and devour a Wall-Nut.

Level 3 Objective - Remove eleven (11) health bars in three (3) minutes.
Reward is 20 Iceweed
Players start with 1,350 Sun.

I do not get a preview of Penny's Pursuit before it is released. So what you see is what players will get.

I also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
