Here is a little snippet of what Sherianna Boyle, Creator of The Cleanse, Author of Emotional Detox Now and I had to personally say about the whole #willsmith and #chrisrock incident that literally was the only news I saw across all media and social media platforms at the time of recording this podcast show.

Please note these are only personal views, and like everyone looking from the outside looking in as I mention in this video Will Smith was definitely not his happy for lucky self.

But I think based on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock and getting so upset, one question that could have been asked was R U OK?

It’s a great reminder to check in with our family and friends to see how they are mentally are feeling.

The R U OK? question is a way to open up a discussion about mental health and to also try break the stigma that surrounds it.

It’s been a rough 2 years with the pandemic and whilst I do not believe in violence I know what we saw at the Oscars is also a reflection on what is happening in people’s, homes, and on our streets.

All we can do is be kind and have empathy and I have to agree with Sherianna Boyle that after coming off 2 very traumatising years that joking about individuals isn’t the right time.

Let’s hope the Oscars take her mental health expert advice as I do believe there are much better ways to bring laughter and joy to such events but it doesn’t have to come by telling jokes at the expense of someone else.

It really is time for A Great Global Values Reset.
