Hundreds of structures have been affected with this issue during the Winter Storm of December 2022. Today a main water line was ruptured in downtown Lexington. Public Schools, businesses and even the local Animal Shelter has been affected by the stress on pipes. On Christmas Eve alone the Lexington Fire Department responded to approximately 150 calls concerning broken pipes according to Major CJ Hauz with the Lexington Fire Department.
