UN Russia Room Opened in Rome

The Russia Room was opened at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome by FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu and Russia's Permanent Representative to FAO and other international organizations in Rome Viktor Vasiliev.

Vasiliev hailed the room - established with the assistance of Russia's largest fertilizer producer PhosAgro to host "thematic events" and meetings under the Global Soil Partnership - as “a demonstration of Russia's achievements as a major agricultural power, and… a model of public-private partnership.”
