The mystery of Christ involves four affirmations as united as four branches of the Cross : 1: Jesus, being the Word of God, has the divine nature. The Old Testament announces Him, His teaching, His Holiness, His miracles show that. 2: Having received from the Virgin Mary our human nature, He is a man. 3: These two natures, divine and human, are not mixed nor separated, but distinct and united (Mk 5:24-43). In the Gospel, Jesus speaks sometimes according to His divine nature, and sometimes according to His human nature. 4: These two natures belong not to a human person, but to a divine person, the second Person of the Holy Trinity, who can say "I am God," and "I am a man." This is how Jesus is the Savior, reconciling God and humanity ... in His person, by His love until the sacrifice of the Cross. Merry Christmas!
