Exoplanet KELT 9b is studied by the Spitzer space telescope. By the data sent by the telescope, we found that the extreme temperatures on the planet's dayside cause molecules of hydrogen to tear apart on the dayside of the tidally-locked exoplanet. The hydrogen molecules remain in the same state until they flow around to the planet's nightside.
One more interesting fact about KELT 9b is that its year lasts less than a day and a half.
