Magnetic robodog invented that can walk on walls

MARVEL – magnetically adhesive robot for versatile and expeditious locomotion – is your conventional robot dog, but with magnetic feet, meaning it can stick to your fridge with the best of them. The magnets are powerful enough that the 8kg robot can walk on a suitably metallic ceiling while carrying nearly three kilos on its back.
It’s hoped that the robot will have applications in all sorts of exciting fields, from bridge construction, to bridge repair.
