Christmas blizzards from the 50s and 60s in Slope County, North Dakota - Charles and Alma Pierce

My great grandfather, grandfather, dad, and others on our family farm during the 50s and 60s. Since I didn't make it home for Christmas in North Dakota this year due to weather, I found some of the old pictures of our farm at this time of year.

My grandfather Charles Pierce settled with his brothers in southwest North Dakota. It was a much rougher time back then with far fewer supplies. I've heard stories of my grandfather having to thaw out the milk in the morning because it would freeze in their home.
