Henri Casadesus (1879-1947), posing as Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788)
Concerto for 4 viols, billed as Suite in D major
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andante lento molto
III. Allegretto
First composed in 1906, according to autograph manuscript; apparently unpublished
Original scoring claimed in insert note as four viols and harpsichord
Revised posthumously in 1948, according to later manuscript, possibly by Marius Casadesus (1892-1981)
This recording possibly abridged, with central movement substantially shorter than on Pléiade LP (outer movements unchanged)
