MPG drop, severe engine vibration, traction control & stabilitrack screwing up. Cheap fix?

The cause and fix was as simple and easy as a spark plug.

My 2012 GMC suddenly developed a severe engine vibration, major decrease in MPG, the check engine light came on and the traction control and stabilitrack started screwing up.
