Backyard bunny had some kittens!

This video shows the mother cleaning and feeding two of her kittens. One of the kittens has not opened its eyes yet, which means it is under 10 days old.

I had never seen or heard about this behavior from a wild rabbit. The rabbit is shown licking clean the kittens, which I thought was only a thing done by cats.

What is not shown is that the mother was very attentive. She would move around the backyard periodically but had 3-5 spots picked out where she could sit and watch the nest. She was far more attentive than one would expect from a wild rabbit.

This video is over a month old at posting. What happened to the baby rabbits is unknown as they were only seen once more after this video. As of posting, even the mother does not stay in the yard anymore.
